Accounting jobs and training can take on many forms. Most certified accountants have at least a bachelors degree in accounting or in business management with an accounting focus. A strong preference for those with masters degrees, or the equivalent, is emerging in the field of accounting. In addition to education, most successful accountants are certified, earning the title of CPA (certified public accountant). Accountants work for large and small businesses, government agencies and individuals as tax consultants and finance managers. Nurses can be RNs, registered nurses, or LPNs, licensed practical nurses. The major differences between the two are the amount of education and job duties and authority. A Registered Nurse has the most training and education. Registered Nurses earn more and manage some aspects of the medical field. An LPNs’ primary job is to administer to patients while in the hospital and while being checked in. A registered nurse can oversee LPNs, assess patient care needs and plan patient care. Read more »

While both EMTs and paramedics are emergency response personnel responsible for delivering on-the-scene medical care to injured or unconscious persons, some differences exist between them. An EMT, or, emergency medical technician, normally receives less training and is more likely to be a volunteer, while paramedics are more extensively trained and authorized in emergency medical care. An impression should not be obtained, however, that a paramedic is a better responder in an accident, both paramedics and EMTs provide much needed care and save many lives. Read more »
